We really think you and your team will be able to get a lot of use out of it. And we also made sure to focus on streaming data, so you can see insights on how fans are truly listening, not just how many downloaded an episode. We listened to feedback from podcasters like you to make sure we designed Spotify for Podcasters with your needs in mind - so you can track your performance through powerful data like episode retention charts, aggregate demographics about your listeners, details on your follower growth, and more. Since then, that group has grown to over 100,000 podcasts from 167 countries. When we launched the beta version last year, our goal was to collaborate with a small group of podcast creators to tell us what they needed. (If your podcast isn’t on Spotify yet, you can also use that link to submit your show, too.) Sure I can skip them but my podcast app allows me to skip a lot of them more. This means even as a premium user for ages - I now get ads.
For the past year, we’ve been hard at work figuring out the best way to help podcasters get their shows up on Spotify and building out a dashboard with the data and insights they need to understand how listeners are responding their episodes. But they suck ass as a podcast tool and I fucking hate they are buying up some of my favorite shows and forcing me to use their app.
